Metro line to go beyond Najafgarh

The Centre has approved the 1.18 km extension of Delhi Metro from Najafgarh to Dhansa bus stand at a cost of Rs 565 crore. The underground extension, which is scheduled for completion by 2020, is estimated to benefit 10,000 passengers every day , the urban development ministry said on Tuesday .

The extended link will cater to the needs of the people living in of Nangloi, Dhansa, Bahadurgarh and the adjoining areas. “It will provide relief to 40-50 villages in this region and even people coming from Jhajjar in Haryana can have access to the Metro rail network,“ said outer Delhi MP Parvesh Verma.
